site.btaSome 1,500 Hectares of State-Owned Woodland to Be Afforested in 2018

Sofia, April 6 (BTA) - There are plans to afforest some 1,500 hectares of State-owned woodland in 2018. Municipal-owned woodland will be afforested separately, Executive Forest Agency Executive Director Grigor Gogov told journalists in connection with th 2018 Forest Week (April 2-8).

Gogov said that, on a priority basis, the forest environment will start to be restored by afforesting and assisting the natural recovery of stands damaged by diseases and pests. A total of 530 hectares of disease-affected woodland will be reafforested.
