Brussels, April 10 (BTA Correspondent Nikolay Jeliazkov) - Taking a question here on Tuesday, European Commission (EC) Chief Spokesperson Margaritis Schinas said that "the EC fully shares the Bulgarian EU Presidency's political priorities around the Western Balkans". He was asked when the invitations for the EU-Western Balkans Summit in Sofia on May 17 will be sent.

"We are working for this Western Balkan Summit together with our Bulgarian partners, so the Western Balkan Summit is on," he specified.

Schinas also said that EC President Jean-Claude Juncker toured all six Western Balkan destinations in the last week of February. In the Chief Spokesperson's words, they had the opportunity to meet all Western Balkan leaders in Sofia together with Bulgarian Prime Minister Boyko Borissov, Federica Mogherini, High Representative of the EU for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, and Johannes Hahn, European Commissioner for European Neighbourhood Policy and Enlargement Negotiations.
