 May 3 (BTA) - Sixty per cent of Bulgarians see Pope Francis' upcoming visit to Bulgaria as positive, while less thanone-third are not sure how to asses it, show the results of a nationally representative survey by Trend presented on Friday.

The survey was conducted among 1,008 adult Bulgarians from April 5 to 12. It was commissioned by the "24 Chassa" daily to determine Bulgarians' attitude to the Apostolic Journey to Bulgaria of His Holiness Pope Francis from May 5 to 7.

Bulgarians in the 18-29 age group are the least informed about the Pope's visit and the most unsure how to assess it.        

Fifty-seven per cent of Bulgarians have a positive attitude towards the Pope, while only 8 per cent have a negative attitude.

Twenty-seven per cent of all respondents say they have enough information about the visit, while 50 per cent think there is not enough information.

Thirty-one per cent say they will follow the visit. The least interested in the visit are respondents in the 18-29 age group.

Thirty-two per cent of respondents say they consider clergymen as God's representatives on earth, as opposed to 41 per cent who do not. Bulgarians in the 18-29 age group have the most atheistic attitudes.
