Sofia, July 22 (BTA) - The Commission for Personal Data Protection has prevented an attempted data breach, the Bulgarian National Radio reported Monday. The breach attempt was confirmed for the radio by Commission chair Ventsislav Karadjov.

The hacker used the Commission's wireless network.

The hack attempt was intercepted and it cannot be established whether the target was the Commission website or its database. Karadjov said.

Karadjov believes that it was a targetted attempt to disrupt the work of the Commission. LN/
