New York, September 22 (BTA) - Bulgarian Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ekaterina Zaharieva arrived in New York City, where she will take part in the 74th Session of the UN General Assembly, Zaharieva's Ministry said in a press release on Sunday.

Between September 23 and 26, the Foreign Minister will hold bilateral meetings with her counterparts of Oman, India, Tajikistan, Sudan, Ghana, Brazil, Costa Rica and Kyrgyzstan.

On September 23, she will participate in the Climate Action Summit, and on September 24 Zaharieva will take part in the opening of the UN General Assembly's General Debate and in the sixth high-level event on the Syria crisis, hosted by the EU, as well as in other high-level meetings.

Within the framework of the UN General Assembly, Zaharieva will represent Bulgaria at a B4 meeting of the foreign ministers of Bulgaria, Greece, Romania and Croatia, in an informal meeting of the foreign ministers of the Southeast European Cooperation Process, in an informal meeting of the Informal Meeting of the Council of Ministers of Foreign Affairs of the Organization of the Black Sea Economic Cooperation, and in a Transatlantic dinner hosted by US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo. The Foreign Minister will also attend a meeting with leaders of Jewish organizations organized at Bulgaria's Permanent Representation to the UN in New York. LN/LG
