September 27 (BTA) - Bulgaria's Deputy Prime Minister
and Foreign Minister Ekaterina Zaharieva conferred in New York
with Costa Rica's Minister of Foreign Relations and Worship
Manuel Ventura Robles, Zaharieva's Ministry said in a press
release on Friday.

The Bulgarian Foreign Minister reiterated her country's
readiness for invigoration of the bilateral political dialogue
with Costa Rica and of the inter-regional dialogue between the
European Union and the Community of Latin American and Caribbean
 States (CELAC).

The two chief diplomats discussed a number of issues on the
international agenda. Ventura showed interest in Bulgaria's and
EU's experience in dealing with migration, considering the fact
that Costa Rica is the number one destination for immigrants in
Latin America with 386,000 registered aliens, mainly from
Nicaragua. RY/LG
