site.btaBulgarian Prosecutor General Tsatsarov Is Paying Official Visit to Germany

Karlsruhe, October 1 (BTA) - Bulgarian Prosecutor General Sotir Tsatsarov, accompanied by Deputy Prosecutors General Ivan Geshev (Head of the Supreme Cassation Prosecution Office) and Asya Petrova (Head of the Supreme Administrative Prosecution Office), is paying an official visit to Germany at the invitation of the Public Prosecutor General of the Federal Court of Justice, Dr Peter Frank, the Bulgarian prosecution service said in a press release on Tuesday.

Within the visit, the guests held meetings with Federal Court of Justice President Bettina Limperg, with Federal Constitutional Court Judge Sibylle Kessal-Wulf, with Mannheim Public Prosecutor's Office Head Alexander Schwarz and with Karlsruhe Public Prosecutor General Uwe Schlosser.

Current aspects of terrorism and the international dimensions of organized crime, as well as cooperation between the law-enforcement authorities for their suppression, figured high on the agenda of the talks.

This third meeting between the prosecutors general of Bulgaria and Germany builds on the successful cooperation between the two prosecution services. The first meeting took place in Karlsruhe in November 2017, and Dr Peter Frank visited Sofia in June 2018. DT/LG
