site.btaCOVID-19 Update: 418 New Cases, Test Positivity Rate at 9%

April 19 (BTA) - The number of confirmed COVID-19 cases in Bulgaria reached 386,381 after 4,644 tests identified 418 new infections on Sunday, according to data posted on https://coronavirus.bg/ early on Monday. The test positivity rate now stands at 9 per cent.

Sofia City Region tops the list of new cases with 125 positive tests, followed by Varna Region with 67 and Bourgas Region with 26.

The active cases are 64,508. Currently, the hospitalized patients number 9,229, including 783 in intensive care.

The infected medical staff have reached 12,849, with 3 new cases detected since Saturday.

Another 1,441 COVID-19 patients have recovered over the last 24 hours, bringing the total to 306,678.

Fifty-seven fatalities were reported, and the death toll now adds up to 15,195.

With 1,227 new inoculations over the last 24 hours, 638,443 persons in aggregate have been vaccinated against the coronavirus, of whom 128,538 have received both doses.
