site.btaCOVID-19 Update: Nearly 800 New Cases, Test Positivity Rate at 10.6%

April 25 (BTA) - The test positivity rate on Saturday was 10.6 per cent after 798 new cases were confirmed through 7,493 tests, show data posted on coronavirus.bg on Sunday.

The most confirmed cases, 162, were reported in Sofia, followed by Burgas with 97 and Plovdiv with 89.

A total of 397,100 COVID-19 cases have been registered in Bulgaria since the start of the pandemic, of which 56,855 are active.

A total of 8,087 people were in hospital on Saturday, including 738 in intensive care.

With 509 recoveries on Saturday, the total now stands at 324,386.

The reported deaths were 33, bringing the total since the start of the pandemic to 15,859.

A total of 721,170 COVID-19 vaccine doses have been administered so far, of which 4,230 on Saturday. So far 162,765 people have received both doses. RI/DD
