site.btaCOVID-19 Update: 1,759 New Cases, Test Positivity Rate at 12.5%

April 27 (BTA) - The test positivity rate on Monday was
12.5 per cent after 1,759 new cases were confirmed through
14,023 tests, show data posted on coronavirus.bg on Tuesday.

The most confirmed cases, 338, were reported in Sofia, followed
by Plovdiv with 174 and Varna with 136.
A total of 399,259 COVID-19 cases have been registered in
Bulgaria since the start of the pandemic, of which 54,115 are
active.

A total of 7,669 people were in hospital on Monday, including
724 in intensive care.

With 4,100 recoveries on Monday, the total now stands at
329,043.

The reported deaths were 194, bringing the total since the start
 of the pandemic to 16,101.

A total of 734,150 COVID vaccine doses have been administered so
 far, of which 10,910 on  Monday. So far 169,868 people have
