site.btaCOVID-19 Update: 1,850 New Cases, Test Positivity Rate at 10.28

April 28 (BTA) - The number of confirmed COVID-19 cases
in Bulgaria reached 401,109 after 17,987 tests identified 1,850
new infections in the past 24 hours, according to data posted on
 https://coronavirus.bg/. The test positivity rate now stands at
 10.28 per cent.

Sofia region tops the list of new cases with 375 positive tests,
 followed by Plovdiv with 180 cases and Varna with 170.

The active cases are 52,509 .Currently, the hospitalized
patients number 7,480, including 714 in intensive care.

The infected medical staff have reached 13,126, 3,048 of which
were infected doctors and 4,47 were infected nurses.

Another 3,375 COVID-19 patients have recovered over the last 24
hours, bringing the total to 332,418.

A total of 81 fatalities were reported, and the death toll now
adds up to 16,182.

With 16,749 new inoculations over the last 24 hours, 750,899
persons in aggregate have been vaccinated against the
