Nine Bulgarians Supposed to

Sofia, December 28 (BTA) - According to the manifest, nine
Bulgarians are supposed to be on board the Italian-flagged car
ferry "Norman Atlantic", which caught fire off the coast of
Greece early Sunday morning while sailing from Patra, Greece, to
Ancona, Italy, BTA learnt from the Press Centre of the
Bulgarian Foreign Ministry.

The manifest has been received from the Greek Foreign Ministry.
It is not yet known whether these passengers have boarded the
ferry and whether they have been evacuated.

The Bulgarian Embassy in Athens, the Consulate General in
Thessaloniki and the Bulgarian Embassy in Rome are in constant
touch with all competent authorities involved in the rescue
