Sofia, January 9 (BTA) - A building contractor and his wife were
found dead outside their home in Sofia's Vitosha neighbourhood
late on Thursday evening, police sources told BTA.

They were apparently gunned down, presumably by a professional
hitman, the press reports.

The victims are identified as Mitko Damyanov (48) and his wife
Natalia (42). They were reportedly shot as they were stepping
out of their car to go home.

The murder scene has been cordoned off.

The trade register shows that Damyanov owned several companies.
He had some of his assets destrained by banks. The news media
reported on Friday that in 2011 he was sued by prospective home
owners who had lost their investment in his green-field projects
