No Bulgarian Servicemen Injured in Kabul Explosion, Defence Ministry Says
Sofia, May 17 (BTA) - No Bulgarian servicemen have been injured
in the Sunday suicide bombing near the international airport in
Kabul, said the Defence Ministry in a press release.
The terrorist attack happened outside the airport around 9:00 am
local time, killing and injuring local civilians.
A Bulgarian contingent consisting of close to 110 servicemen is
taking part in NATO's Resolute Support mission in Afghanistan
and are deployed in Kandahar and Kabul. They provide security
for the airport in Kandahar, as well as support and advise to
the Afghan National Army Corps.
