Economy Minister Loukarsky:"Exports, Investments, GDP Show Encouraging Growth Rates in 2015"

Sofia, June 19 (BTA) - "Each of the countries in the region
focuses on achieving a hospitable business environment and
climate for trade and investment," Bulgarian Economy Minister
Bojidar Loukarsky said, addressing the Southeast Europe Economic
Forum which opened here on Thursday.

"Exports, investments and the GDP have been showing encouraging
growth rates since the beginning of 2015," he said, expressing
the hope that levels exceeding expectations will be achieved
during the rest of the year.

Loukarsky highlighted the Government's efforts to improve the
business environment, to ease the administrative burden, to
promote small and medium-sized enterprises and their export
potential, and to maximize the transparent absorption of
resources under Operational Programme Innovations and
Competitiveness.

The Economy Minister recalled that the first procedure under the
new Operational Programme, targeting small and medium-sized
enterprises, has already been launched. A procedure in support
of innovations in enterprises will start in September, and a
procedure for improvement of their energy efficiency and use of
energy from renewable sources will begin at the end of the year.
