Sofia, March 11 (BTA) - By order of Prime Minister Boyko Borissov Bulgaria will provide humanitarian aid to the refugees and migrants stuck at the Greek-Macedonian border, the government's information service said on Friday.

Tents, beds and heating materials will be given, which are needed as indicated in a letter from Greece received via the Foreign Ministry. The Chef de Cabinet of the Prime Minister will coordinate the provision of the aid.

The aid is provided by the Agriculture and Food Ministry and the Interior Ministry's Directorate General for Fire Safety and Protection of the Population.

At the moment thousands of women, children and men are stuck near Idomeni at the Greek-Macedonian border. Urgent measures to avert a humanitarian crisis are needed due to the torrential rains and poor conditions.
