Bulgaria, Liechtenstein to Advance Bilateral Relations

Sofia/Vaduz, March 12 (BTA) - Bulgarian Deputy Prime Minister and Labour Minister Ivailo Kalfin held meetings in Liechtenstein, where he agreed an advancement of bilateral relations with the principality.

"There are many opportunities to step up bilateral relations between Bulgaria and Liechtenstein. We are beginning to cooperate to promote start-ups in high-tech and innovative businesses. We discussed possibilities for Bulgaria to draw on Liechtenstein's good practices in setting up and managing financial instruments for start up businesses and raising capital," said Kalfin after meetings with Alois, Hereditary Prince of Liechtenstein and Deputy Prime Minister and Home Affairs, Justice and Economic Affairs Minister Thomas Zwiefelhofer.

During the meeting Alois expressed an interest in Bulgaria's economic development and ways to step up partnership relations between the two countries. Deputy Prime Minister Kalfin highlighted Bulgaria's stable economy and added that in 2015 the country's was among EU leaders in terms of economic growth.

Zwiefelhofer and Kalfin discuss dual education in the two countries. Zwiefelhofer proposed an expertise exchange between the two countries as Liechtenstein had established traditions in dual education.
