President Plevneliev to Take Part in NATO's Warsaw Summit

Sofia, July 7 (BTA) - President Rosen Plevneliev will lead the Bulgarian delegation to the Summit Meeting of NATO Heads of State and Government which will be held in Warsaw between July 8 and 9, the President's Press Secretariat said on Thursday.

On the early afternoon of July 8, the Bulgarian delegation will be welcomed officially in the Polish capital by NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg. Later in the day, the North Atlantic Council will meet at the level of heads of state and/or government.

On July 9, Plevneliev will attend a meeting on Afghanistan involving the partners in the Resolute Support Mission.

The Bulgarian delegation will include Foreign Minister Daniel Mitov, Defence Minister Nikolay Nenchev, Bulgaria's Permanent Representative to NATO Ivan Naydenov, and Chief of Defence Konstantin Popov, among others.
