MRF Leader Karadayi: Party to Bear Responsibility to Say Who the Next President Will Be

Bozhourka Village, Northeastern Bulgaria, July 10 (BTA) - Movement for Rights and Freedoms (MRF) leader Mustafa Karadayi Sunday took part in a traditional gathering in the holy area of Baba Kondu, near the village of Bozhourka. Addressing the people attending in the event, he spoke about ethnic tolerance, co-existence of different ethnic groups, and the forthcoming presidential elections.

In Karadayi's words, the participation of fascists in Bulgaria's governance is not proper and does not set anything good for the future. "This is why the MRF will bear responsibility to say who the next president will be: a democrat who will unify the nation," he added. The MRF will not give "unsought support and will say with all its might 'no' to power with the participation of fascists and nationalists," Karadayi underscored.

MRF Deputy Floor Leader Tuncher Kardzhaliev said that the world and Europe are experiencing the most monstrous crisis of humanity after World War Two. "Here, however, there is a model of a society of tolerant people where over the years it has not been allowed to have a rupture between people of various ethnicity," he added, referring to the area of Targovishte.

The traditional gathering at Baba Kondu brought thousands of Muslims from the region together. A holy tree is located in the area on whose branches Muslims and Christians alike tie pieces of cloth for good health.
