Prime Minister Borissov Voices Concern with "Escalation of Revenge-seeking, Spiral of Violence" in Turkey

Sofia, July 18 (BTA) - Prime Minister Boyko Borissov Monday voiced concern with the "escalation of revenge-seeking and the spiral of violence emerging in Turkey".

Posting a message in his profile on Facebook, Borussov reiterated his position expressed at an emergency meeting in the Council of Ministers immediately after the first news about the attempted coup in Turkey, that he is in favour of standing by the law, and that elections are the only democratic way of changing the powers that be. Likewise, the fair court trial is the sole sensible approach in seeking the truth, Borissov wrote. "Violence breeds violence. Peace may not be attained with war. I hope that the recent horrific events on Turkey, which claimed hundreds of lives, will serve as an example what we need too guard ourselves against and that the answer to them should be legitimate, democratic and in compliance with all human rights," the Prime Minister wrote.
