Prime Minister Borissov Urges for Clear Time-frame for Canada Visa Waiver

Sofia, July 22 (BTA) - Meeting a Canadian delegation on a visit to Bulgaria Friday, Prime Minister Boyko Borissov said that waiving the visas for Bulgarian nationals travelling to Canada is a priority. Borissov said, quoted by the government's information service, that this country expects a clear time-table with concrete steps for the visa waiver.

Borissov said that the visa reciprocity with Canada is important for Bulgaria and is expected to be attained as soon as possible. During a meeting with the head of the Canadian delegation, Larisa Galadza who is Director General for Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship, the Prime Minister said that Bulgaria is ready to render assistance to the expert team from Canada in the collection of the necessary technical information.

Borissov stressed that in respect of border management and security of travelling documents Bulgaria has been given as an example by the European leaders.
