Nationalist  Parties Support Krassimir Karakachanov and Yavor Notev as Candidates for President, Vice President

Sofia, July 29 (BTA) - The National Front for the Salvation of  Bulgaria (NFSB) и Ataka support Krassimir Karakachanov (IMRO) and Yavor Notev (Ataka) as the common patriotic candidates for president
and vice president.

The two were nominated by an initiative committee, NFSB leader Valeri Simeonov told journalists in
Parliament on Friday, adding that the decision was made late on Thursday.

Simeonov noted that Ataka leader Volen Siderov will have to overcome his ego and give way to Notev as the candidate for vice president. Another condition, according to Simeonov, is that  the IMRO do not ask for the post of vice president as well.

Karakachanov said that he just recently found out from Simeonov about NFSB's support for the initiative, for which he thanks them. He described this as an important gesture, adding that Notev would be a good partner as vice president.

Siderov described the nomination as a success on the path towards consolidating the patriotic votes for future parliamentary elections.

According to him, continuing separately and in a state of confrontation would not lead to anywhere. Now, there are conditions for good results, for uniting around the idea that a president and vice president are needed, who will represent patriotism and another vision for Bulgaria, with more sovereignty, higher self-esteem, the right views regarding national interests.

Answering a question whether he will be able to work together with NFSB leader Simeonov, Siderov said that the times call for bringing confrontation to a minimum and reinforcing the State.

Yavor Notev views the candidacy as a step for uniting all political formations oriented towards defending the national interests.
