Ten Border Police Officers Arrested

Rousse, on the Danube, November 17 (BTA) - Ten officers of the Border Police unit at Rousse were arrested in an operation of the Specialized Prosecution Office at the Danube Bridge checkpoint on Bulgaria's border with Romania on Wednesday.

Pre-trial proceedings on corruption in the Border Police unit are under way against an organized crime group, the Prosecutor General's Spokesperson Roumyana Arnaudova told BTA on Thursday.
