Trade Union Starts Consultations with Parliamentary Parties about 2017 Budget

Sliven, Southern Bulgaria, November 22 (BTA) - The Confederation of Independent Trade Unions in Bulgaria (CITUB) Thursday starts consultations with the parties represented in Parliament about the budget for next year, CITUB President Plamen Dimitrov said Tuesday.

Dimitrov said that CITUB will seek to achieve increase of people's incomes in social and cultural institutions without changing the budget framework. "Our demands concern increases which are below 100 million leva in total," he said.

CITUB will also seek to have the unemployment benefit increased to 9.50 leva per day from the current 7.20 leva, for which 15 million leva will be needed.

In Sliven Dimitrov and other senior CITUB officials presented a project for dignity of work for suppliers and subcontractors of multinational companies.
