November Business Climate in Industry, Trade Improves M/M - Statistics

Sofia, November 28 (BTA) - The total business climate indicator in November rose by 0.6 percentage points compared to October, the National Statistical Institute said Monday.

The business climate in industry composite indicator rose by 1.9 percentage points compared to the previous month as a result of improved industrial entrepreneur assessment and expectations relevant to the business situation of enterprises.

The business climate in construction indicator dropped by 4 percentage points due to more unfavourable expectations of entrepreneurs in the business. The number of orders has been declining in the last month and they are pessimistic about construction activity in the next three months.

Business climate in retail trade has risen by 3.2 percentage points month-on-month as a result of the more optimistic forecasts of traders. However, their opinion about sales in the last three months and their expectations for the next three months is more unfavourable.

In November the indicator of business climate in the sector of services remained at approximately the same level as in October, with assessments shifting to more moderate opinions. The forecasts for the demand of services in the next three months, however, are improving.
