PM Gerdjikov: Vote Buying Is Unacceptable in a European Country

Rousse, on the Danube, March 10 (BTA) - Prime Minister Ognian Gerdjikov slammed vote buying, saying that all the authorities were mobilized to show resolve in the fight against this "ugly phenomenon", unacceptable in a European country.

Talking to journalists in Rousse, he said there were alerts of vote buying in Northwestern and Southeastern Bulgaria, adding that prevention was of a very high standard.

The preparations for the March 26 parliamentary elections are making very good progress, the caretaker Prime Minister said. "This is one of my most important tasks. The Interior Minister and the Defence Minister are doing an excellent job," said Gerdjikov. MORE
