Additional Measures Taken to Strengthen Security at Bulgarian-Turkish Border - PM

Sofia, March 15 (BTA) - Caretaker Prime Minister Ognian Gerdjikov told journalists on Tuesday that additional measures have been undertaken to reinforce the security at the border with Turkey with a view to the expected migrant flow in the following days.

Gerdjikov said that Tuesday morning he had a meeting with the Interior Minister, the chiefs of the State Agency for National Security and the special services. The participants in this meeting were familiarized with the current situation, including at the Bulgarian-Turkish border, and with the preparedness if strengthening of the border security becomes necessary.
