site.btaForeign Ministry Condoles over Death of Bulgarian Public Figure from Macedonia

Sofia, August 14 (BTA) - Poet, journalist and public figure Pande Eftimov died on Sunday aged 85, the Foreign Ministry told the media and condoled with his family and friends.

Born in a village near Prespa, Eftimov was one of the most active members of the Bulgarian Cultural Club of Skopje and organized the commemoration of persons and events of Bulgaria's and Macedonia's shared history.

In one of his last interviews, he said: "I do not differentiate between Macedonia and Bulgaria. I never draw a line between them."
