site.btaSofia Municipality Reports Revenue Increase of Green System Directorate

Sofia Municipality continues to report an improvement in the financial results of the enterprises and directorates subordinated to Sofia Mayor Vasil Terziev, said the press centre of the Municipality on Friday.

They noted that the revenues from fees collected by the Green System Directorate have increased by 168% compared to 2023, while the increase in revenue of the municipal waste treatment plant is 195%.

The optimization of the Green System also has a direct effect on the improvement of the recreation conditions of Sofia residents, the municipal administration pointed out. From there, they gave the example of clearing the Borisova Gradina Park of illegally parked cars, adding that since 2023, the number of cars that have been issued a permit to access the park territory has dropped by 36%.

"Parks and gardens are the places where people want to feel calm, have fun and take a break from the daily problems. Therefore, our aspiration is to make no compromise in providing a favourable environment for recreation," commented Sofia Deputy Mayor Nadezhda Bobcheva.
