A new community space, Huiskamer De Horizon, will be officially opened in Rotterdam, the Netherlands, on September 27, the Bulgarian Embassy in The Hague said on its Facebook page. The space was created on the initiative of Wmo Radar in partnership with the municipality of Rotterdam and is aimed at residents from Eastern Europe, in particular the Bulgarian and Polish communities.
The new community space is located at Bas Jungeriusstraat 156a. It was developed in collaboration with the local community and offers a safe and accessible environment for meetings, mutual assistance, and personal development.
The programme at the venue includes language courses, festive and cultural events, workshops for parents, and information meetings related to integration, rights and obligations in the Netherlands, as well as the Dutch education system.
The opening is part of the national Burendag (Neighbour Day) initiative and will be officially conducted by Rotterdam Vice Mayor Tim Versnel.
