site.btaBulgarian Embassy in Kyiv Celebrates Trifon Zarezan

The holiday Trifon Zarezan (in honour of Saint Tryphon, patron of wine makers) was celebrated at the Embassy of the Republic of Bulgaria in Ukraine, the diplomatic mission said on Facebook.

"On February 14, we honour the Holy Martyr Tryphon of Apamea, who is considered the heavenly representative of all those who work in the garden and in the field. Bulgarians all over the world, including our compatriots living in Bessarabia, venerate Saint Tryphon as the patron saint of viticulture and winemaking," the Embassy's information reads.

At the invitation of the Minister Plenipotentiary, Nikolay Nenchev, Chargé d'Affaires of the Embassy of Bulgaria, representatives of the Bulgarian community from Kyiv, members of the Ukraine-Bulgaria Friendship Society, students and pupils studying Bulgarian language, teachers, journalists, artists and just friends attended the event.
