Bulgarian Folklore Festival to Take Place in Palma de Mallorca on May 11-12

Bulgaria and its traditions will be presented at a music festival called "In the Town Square of the Other Bulgaria", which will be held in Palma de Mallorca, Spain, on May 11 and 12. A total of 78 song and dance Bulgarian groups from 17 different countries, three guest choreographers, one orchestra and a singing couple will take part in the event.

The folklore festival will be opened at 10 a.m. the Trui theatre in Palma de Mallorca, the Bulgaria dance group, organizer of the forum, said.

The programme in the theatre will continue until 7 p.m. From 8 p.m. to 12 p.m., the La Salle school gym will be transformed into a horo dance club. Guest choreographers, a DJ and an orchestra from Bulgaria will perform at the event.

At 10 a.m. on May 12, the festival will continue with a big horo chain dance, which will be performed at the square in Parc de la Mar. At 1 p.m. the participants will head back to the Trui theatre to continue with more performances.
