There is no delay in the funding of projects in Taraclia, Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Mariya Gabriel said during Question Time in Parliament on Friday, answering a question by Vazrazhdane leader Kostadin Kostadinov regarding the construction of a new sports hall at the high school in Taraclia and the completion of a canteen at the Theoretical Lyceum in the village of Tvardita, Taraclia Region. Gabriel clarified that the disbursement of funds for the implementation of the projects will take place before the end of 2024.

On December 8, 2023, the Council of Minister allocated additional expenditure under the Foreign Ministry budget to finance the projects in Taraclia.

Gabriel informed the MPs that eight more projects, developed jointly with the Moldovan government, are to be funded in the future.

"Three school buses will be purchased, which will ease the currently difficult access to educational facilities for more than 400 children in the Taraclia region," she added. Мajor renovations will be made to an educational building at the Gregory Tsamblak State University in Taraclia, the Bulgarian Foreign Minister noted. Тhere are three more projects envisaged, including planting of an area of some 12 hectares with over 72,000 saplings, she further said.

"Three projects aimed at introducing modern learning technologies and teaching methods in schools in the Taraclia region will be implemented. The premises of the community service centre in Tvardita village will be completely renovated and modernised," Gabriel explained.
