A Bulgarian Cinema Week will be held in Berlin from February 29 to March 6, the organizers from the Bulgarian Cultural Institute in the German capital said. A different Bulgarian film will be screened every evening at 6 pm at Brotfabrik.
The Bulgarian Cinema Week in Berlin is organized on the occasion of Bulgaria's National Day, March 3 and is yet another event dedicated to the 145th anniversary of the bilateral diplomatic relations. It is held under the auspices of Bulgarian Ambassador Grigor Porozhanov.
The week will open with a screening of The Good Driver (2022), a co-production of Finland, Bulgaria, and Sweden. On the programme are films from the last two years awarded and nominated in film festivals in Bulgaria and abroad: The Last Seagull (2023), Dyad (2023), The Tesla Case (2022), Shakespeare Like A Street Dog (2022), Weimar Express (2023), and No Place for You in Our Town (2022).
