Bulgaria athletes won a bronze medal at the year’s first World Trampoline Gymnastics and Tumbling Cup in Baku (Azerbaijan).

Kristina Peneva and Mariana Uzunova took third place in the synchronized jumps for women. The athletes of Stanislav Stoyanov executed their combination flawlessly and earned a score of 45.710 points, securing the bronze medals. The awards were presented to the national team by the president of the Bulgarian Trampoline Federation, Stoyan Dimitrov.

The gold medal was claimed by the representatives of Japan with a score of 48.800 points, while the United States finished second with 47.440 points.

In the mixed synchronized discipline, which was included for the first time in the World Cup programme, Kristina Peneva and Kaloyan Petrov finished in sixth place. The Bulgarian duo scored 14.850 points, with judges not counting some of the elements in their combination. The coaching staff filed a protest, but it was rejected.
