Bozhidar Saraboyukov, Bulgaria's Athlete of the Year for 2023, won the men's long jump title at the Elite Indoor Track Meeting in Miramas, France. Saraboyukov delivered an excellent performance, landing at 8.19 metres on his final attempt

This is his second-best career result after his jump of 8.22m on August 8, 2023, in Jerusalem.

The athlete demonstrated solid form with jumps of 8.00, 7.99, 8.01 and 8.19m.

China's Heng Shu was second with 8.12m, and Gerson Balde (Portugal) was third with 7.88.

Just two days before his triumph in France, Saraboyukov placed third at a tournament in Belgrade, where he made his season debut with 8.06m. The winner was Tobias Montler (Sweden), with the best jump of the year at 8.23m.
