Gabriela Stoeva and Evgeni Panev qualified for the semifinals of the mixed doubles at the Bahrain International Series 2024 badminton tournament here on Friday. The Bulgarian duo needed 22 minutes to eliminate the local duo Muhammed Ashik Shajahan and Nidhi Jinesh in the quarterfinals with a score of 21-13, 21-14, which secured them at least bronze.

Stoeva and Panev will face Bahrain's Nasser Alnakkas and Noor Fardeen Hasan on Saturday for a spot in the final.

Stefani Stoeva, Gabriela Stoeva's sister, competed in the women's singles part of the series but lost in the first round.
