Sports Minister Glushkov Congratulates Karlos Nasar, Magomed Ramazanov, Boryana Kaleyn on Their Olympic Medals

Caretaker Youth and Sports Minister Georgi Glushkov congratulated Bulgarian athletes Karlos Nasar, Magomed Ramazanov, and Boryana Kaleyn, as well as their coaches and managers on bringing Olympic glory to Bulgaria.

Weightlifter Karlos Nasar won the 89kg title in his Olympic debut at the Paris Games on Friday, setting a world record in the combined lift, with a total of 404 kg (180 kg snatch and 224 kg clean and jerk). Wrestler Magomed Ramazanov claimed the Olympic title in the men’s 86 kg freestyle event, and Boryana Kaleyn won silver in the women’s gymnastics rhythmic individual all-around event.

"I thank Olympic champions Karlos Nasar and Magomed Ramazanov, Olympic vice-champion Boryana Kaleyn for the unforgettable moments we all experienced with you. I also thank all the Bulgarian athletes who represented our country with dignity," Glushkov said.
