site.bta Taraclia State University Becomes Ruse University Branch

Taraclia State University has been transformed into a branch of the Angel Kanchev University of Ruse under an agreement between the governments of Bulgaria and Moldova. As a result, a significant number of Moldovan citizens of Bulgarian origin from Taraclia District and the Autonomous Territorial Unit of Gagauzia will have immediate access to Bulgarian higher education.

Students will be educated in seven professional fields at Ruse University: Pedagogy of Education; Administration and Management; Informatics and Computer Science; Mechanical Engineering; Electrical Engineering, Electronics and Automation; Communication and Computer Engineering; and General Engineering. Classes will be given in Bulgarian, Romanian and English.

Through this step, Bulgaria's policy towards the Bulgarian diaspora in Moldova's Taraclia District will be reaffirmed.
