site.btaMagomed Ramazanov Wins Third Olympic Gold for Bulgaria in Paris

Bulgaria's Magomed Ramazanov won the gold medal in the men's 86kg freestyle wrestling final at the Paris Olympics, claiming a third Olympic title for Bulgaria.

Ramazanov defeated Rio 2016 Games champion and Tokyo 2020 silver medallist Hassan Yazdanicharati (Iran) in the final by 7-1 points.

The 31-year-old wrestler from Dagestan has competed for Bulgaria since this season, and his biggest success so far came at Euro 2020 in Rome, where he won silver in the 79kg category for his native Russia.

He is the only Bulgarian athlete in the freestyle wrestling in the French capital.
