Bulgaria’s Todor Mihalev finished 12th in the fencing ranking round in the men’s individual modern pentathlon event at the Paris Olympics on Thursday.

Mihalev registered 20 victories and 15 defeats in his one-touch épée bouts, collecting a total of 225 points.

The results of the fencing ranking round will be used for both the semifinals and finals which will take place on August 10.

A leader in the competition after the fencing one-on-one bouts is Oleksandr Tovkai of Ukraine with 245 points.
