site.btaGrigor Dimitrov to Face Serbian Dusan Lajovic in Wimbledon First Round

Bulgaria's highest ranked tennis player Grigor Dimitrov has been drawn to start against the world No. 56 Dusan Lajovic of Serbia in the first round of the gentlemen’s singles event at Wimbledon. The two have played each other three times so far, with Dimitrov leading by two wins to one.

10th seed Dimitrov is in the top half of the gentlemen’s singles event and could, possibly, face world No.1 Jannik Sinner of Italy in the quarterfinals if both reach that stage of the tournament.

If Dimitrov manages to eliminate Lajovic, in the second round he will play the winner of the match between Cristian Garin (Chile) and Juncheng Shang (China).

In the Wimbledon ladies’ singles event, Bulgaria’s Viktoriya Tomova will play world No. 40 Xinyu Wang (China). If Tomova wins, she could face 5th seed Jessica Pegula (USA) in the second round of the event.
