Sofia will host the Olympic taekwondo qualifiers for the 2024 Games in Paris. The Bulgarian capital will welcome the elite of the world taekwondo from March 8 to 10, 2024. Thus, for the second time, the capital will be the centre of world taekwondo, from where the best will be sent to the next Summer Olympics. This was announced after a contract was signed at the Olympic headquarters in Madrid to broadcast the competition live on the IOC Olympic TV Channel.

Kostas Karvelas, Chief Business Officer of Olympic Channel Services, said, "We are excited to be working alongside the European Taekwondo Union to promote the sport on olympics.com, as well as amplify the excitement of a qualification tournament for the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris."
