site.btaSofia Tech Park Marks 10th Anniversary with Year-Long Campaign, New Competition

Sofia Tech Park will celebrate its 10th anniversary with an active campaign throughout 2025, the research park told BTA. The anniversary will pass under the motto "Ten years of supporting innovation and entrepreneurship", and one of the initiatives will be the establishment of a new competition, Sofia Tech Park Awards. The aim of the competition is to award in ten different categories individuals, companies, startups, scientists and organizations for their contribution to the development of entrepreneurship, science and innovation in Bulgaria.  

The year-long initiative will also focus on the successes of companies that have developed on the territory of Sofia Tech Park. The park plans to feature one company each month until the end of the year. The first success story in March is that of Barin Sports, a Bulgarian innovative company that is changing the way sport uses data and technology, a company that is changing sport through technology. The company has also won a number of awards in innovation competitions. 

The 10th anniversary programme includes exhibitions of companies, products and services created and developed in Sofia Tech Park. In the autumn, at a national information roadshow in the country, experts from the science and technology park will tell at meetings with the business and scientific communities on site about what has been achieved and about the services and opportunities that the technological complex provides for development. 

The culmination of the anniversary will be on December 11, when a solemn event celebrating 10 years of Sofia Tech Park will take place at the John Atanasoff Innovation Forum.
