The Commission for Consumer Protection Friday said it has received alerts that one of Bulgaria's three mobile network operators, Vivacom Bulgaria, does not comply with the preliminary ban on price indexation. The Commission has taken measures against the operator under the law to stop the company from carrying out the prohibited actions, effective from March 13. The first results are expected in a reasonably short term.

On February 28, the Supreme Administrative Court upheld the preliminary implementation of the order of Commission for Consumer Protection head Maria Filipova, whereby Vivacom Bulgaria is not allowed to index its monthly fees. Those were increased by BGN 1 to BGN 2 per service in January 2025.
