site.btaPatriarch Daniil: We Are Called as God's Servants to Help God Reach People

Bulgarian Patriarch Daniil attended a conference of priests from the Dupnitsa spiritual district here on Friday. The subject of these conferences is to pay attention to basic things, such as how to improve the ministry so that it is useful and yields results, the Patriarch told BTA. He pointed out that during the meetings, current problems shared by the priests are also discussed, as well as those that have become painful, so that solutions can be sought.
"Ultimately, as servants of God, we are called to help God, we are God's collaborators so that God can reach people, that we improve ourselves, that virtues grow and that God's grace dwells in us," he said during the conference.
While in Dupnitsa, Patriarch Daniil met with students from the Evlogi Georgiev Primary School, who study religion as an optional subject. "They want to tell us something, they have prepared a small programme. We will meet and communicate with them," the Patriarch noted ahead of the meeting.
He officiated a Liturgy of the Presanctified Hosts earlier in the day. He is scheduled to serve Compline after the conference.
Two conferences have already taken place for Sofia priests, with one in Kyustendil coming up on March 28.
