site.btaTourism Minister: Challenges before Tourism Need Joint Effort from Ministry, Municipalities, Businesses

Minister of Tourism Miroslav Borshosh, who unveiled the 41st edition of the Vacation and Spa Expo here on Sunday, said that the challenges facing Bulgarian tourism are great and require the joint efforts his Ministry, Bulgaria's municipalities, and everyone in the industry to be overcome. The forum will continue until March 11.
The Minister said that the way Bulgaria presents itself contributes not only to the national confidence but also to the economy. He stated that politicians focus on the past and on the difficulties too often and added: "For me, a huge challenge is to show how things will be, and how things should be, and to look forward. An exhibition such as this one gives a clear picture of the state of Bulgarian tourism [...], because people from tourism represent our country and make it more visible internationally."
The exhibition is attended by 240 exhibitors spanning three continents with 45% of the participants in the forum being foreign, the organizers reported. The forum brings together all segments of the industry tourism with representatives from Bulgaria, India, China, Tanzania, Algeria, Vietnam, Sierra Leone, Pakistan, Russia, Egypt, Mauritius, Serbia, Greece, France, Spain, Romania, Turkiye, Finland.
