In December 2024, the total production index in Services of the business economy increased by 2.1% compared to the previous month, according to preliminary and seasonally adjusted data from the National Statistical Institute (NSI). Compared to December 2023, an increase of 6.0% was registered in the calendar-adjusted index according to preliminary data.

A reference to the NSI shows that in November 2024, the total index of production in this area decreased by 1.1% on a monthly basis, while an annual increase of 3.2% was recorded.

Monthly changes

An increase compared to the previous month was reported in the following sectors: ’Real estate activities’ - by 16.8%, ’Transportation and storage’ - by 3.8%, and ’Information and communication’ - by 3.2%. A decrease was registered in three sectors: ’Administrative and support service activities’ - by 6.2%, ’Accommodation and food service activities’ - by 0.4% and ’Professional, scientific and technical activities’ - by 0.2%.

Annual changes

On an annual basis, an increase was observed in the following sectors: ’Transportation and storage’ - by 10.1%, ’Information and communication’ - by 9.3%, ’Real estate activities’ - by 6.0%, ’Professional, scientific and technical activities’ - by 3.9%, and ’Accommodation and food service activities’ - by 0.1%. A 2.3% decrease was reported in the sector ’Administrative and support service activities’.
