Bulgaria's best tennis player Grigor Dimitrov qualified for the third round of the Indian Wells Open after defeating Portugal's Nuno Borges 6-3, 6-4 in just over an hour and a half. This is Dimitrov's first win in two matches over Borges, who defeated the Bulgarian in last year's Australian Open.

The third round of the tournament will see Dimitrov face Gael Monfils who beat Sebastian Korda from the US after two tiebreaks – 7-6 (2), 7-6 (4).

After the match, Dimitrov shared that he is in good physical condition. He added that nothing can replace the adrenaline he gets from playing matches.
