Artist Ralitza Dencheva will present a new painting exhibition entitled SakralNo [Sacred]. Visitors can see her works at Sofia's Boris Christoff Museum between March 17 and 29.
The organizers said: "SakralNo is an exhibition about the amazing and the miraculous, about the divine, the mystical and the sacred within man. In the silence of female images - graceful, gentle and noble, Ralitza Dencheva helps us to get closer to our higher self and heavenly nature; she reveals the the power, mystery and wonder of the soul. This is an exhibition about beauty as a temple built from the pain, longings and silence within us. [...] All art has the potential to be sacred - to be a kind of cosmic portal to transformation, a path to complete renewal and mystical rebirth that connects us to our true, divine nature."
Harpist Laura Karapancheva will perform at the opening of the event.
Dencheva's preferred genre is realism. Her works are characterized by a sophisticated and soulful style that contrasts with the popular stream of modernism. Her art is about the power of beauty as the most obvious and perfect manifestation of the good in man. She has had over 40 solo exhibitions in Bulgaria as well as in Canada, Hungary, Switzerland, and France.
